Merry day after Christmas!
This post is going to be a DIY on how to make these lights!
Posts coming soon:
-What I did over winter break
-What I got for Christmas

To get started, you will need:
-Christmas lights (I used white)
-Origami paper

I will link a video below to show you how to make the boxes, it’s hard to explain but pretty easy once you make few. I would advice to put on a TV show of play some music while you are making these, because you have to make about 60 boxes  (depending on how long your strand of lights are).

Here is a video on how to make the cubes
If you are still having trouble you can leave a comment and I can insert pictures from the book I used while making them.

Next, take your cubes and slide a light into the hole that's in the cube.

That’s it! You’re done. I hope you enjoyed this quick but easy and cute DIY.

Hey guys!!
This blog post is all about giving during the holidays. I have three easy ways you can give back to someone.

  1. Leave behind a $
Image.png

This is a creative and cheap way to do a random act of kindness. We put this card in a plastic baggie with a dollar bill and spread them out in the dollar store. The card says:
Santa wanted to give you this dollar to remind you to be on the nice list
Love, Santa’s helpers
Merry Christmas

2.) Christmas Jar

A christmas jar is a great way to spread love and joy during the holiday season. Over the course of December put all your spare change in a jar, then on Christmas day give the jar to someone anonymously. You can give it to a family friend, a neighbor going through a hard time, a random person, or a homeless person.
If you want to collect even more money start your Christmas jar January 1st and collect change over the course of a year.
Also, there is a book that is just lovely, it’s all about the tradition of the Christmas Jar, I will link the book below.

3.) Giving the gift of life
Screenshot 2015-12-07 at 8.44.43 PM.png
We are so lucky and don’t realize it. Some children live in poverty over 3rd world countries. It’s that time off the year that is meant to give and this is the greatest way to really give a gift that could change someone’s life for the good.
This organization called World Vision literally gives the gift of life. When you open their catalogue or go onto their websites there are dozens of ways to give.
You can sponsor a child, give chickens, rabbits, goats and sheep, give clean water, food, and medicine.
This is my absolute favorite way to give during the holidays!
These children and families deserve so much better! Give the gift of life and happiness this holiday season!
Get a group of friends together or organize a fundraiser at school to earn money to sponsor a child or to get emergency food to children in Africa, the choices are ENDLESS!!!
You could give warm clothes to a freezing child.
A soccer ball to a child who has been playing with rolled up trash
School supplies to give the gift of education
Bible’s to grow a child’s faith
Food to a starving family or village
or A bike to a girl so she can get to school safely

I hope you enjoied my post and if you try out any of these ideas, tag me in them on instagram!

Byee!
